West Marin

 

It's a wonderful transition going from San Francisco to Marin, and another dramatic one from the populated areas of Marin to rural West Marin. From Point Reyes to Stinson beach, nature is everywhere, the views are amazing, and life is laid-back. It's filled with Marin's smallest and most unique towns, such as Marshall, whose population is around 56 residents, and Tomales, who is at 210. Organic, family-run farming is prevalent, allowing for Marin's many farmers' markets. West Marin also has my most recent personal discovery beach, Limantour Beach. A peaceful, broad swath of soft sand, and teeming with Pelicans information flying along the coastline. Check it out!
