Larkspur is yet another one of Marin's wonderful small towns; a hidden gem. It has a central location, easy commute even by ferry, and is loved by locals for its warmer weather, great schools, and exceptional hiking and biking. It's filled with amazing dining options- alfesca on many street corners with a restaurant for every occasion. Janis Joplin's last known residence is on West Baltimore Avenue. Larkspur loves its majestic Redwoods, with trees from the Madrone Canyon Redwood Grove still in the middle of the street. Note that the Larkspur Landing area is not the Town of Larkspur; the actual town is a quaint community on the west side of Highway 101 with Magnolia Street running through it.
